Elm Tango Stools

370

These Elm Tango Stools were made from a very old tree felled in Co. Galway. Elm is a particularly rare wood to work with these days due to Dutch Elm disease which claimed the majority of these grand old trees over the past 50 years.

Originally designed as a wedding gift the Tango Stools feature hidden magnets in the seats allowing them to work as one seat or two. The stool is one of the oldest forms of furniture, a place to sit, to chat, to relax – the pairing was intended to give the couple somewhere to do those things with each other while also acting as an occasional seat or seats when the need arises.

Each leg is hand turned and the stools themselves are made from a variety of native and non-native hardwoods.

Personalised inscriptions are possible – please contact for further information.
